MQB/Evo KLR orders now include a 3D printed replacement enclosure. Due to the small design, clips for the terminals as well as to clip the two halves together were omitted as they would simply break off. The replacement enclosure is designed to fit loosely together until it is placed back inside the steering wheel, where the slot will hold everything together.

this makes highway driving so much better. not that i condone texting and driving, but if you're on a road trip, you could quickly send a short message without getting beeped at by the car. in theory, you could not touch the wheel for hours at a time on a road trip. works as advertised.

Works as advertised. Be sure to take manual control when lanes are not painted or merge into or out of other lanes.

Perfect for long drives

I never had the dreaded steering wheel issues but my wife and I do a lot of road trips and figured this would be a great addition to my MK8 Golf R. Even though I always have my hands on the steering wheel, the constant reminders to grip the steering wheel while using ACC/travel assist can get frustrating. The KLR module is a fantastic addition and it really helps with that issue. Installation was simple, and although I ran into a couple of minor bumps, ACM Technik provided quick and helpful support to get everything up and running smoothly. If you do a lot of driving or take frequent road trips, I highly recommend the KLR module! 🤙🏼😁

Finally!! No more warnings!!

The stupid steering wheel warning has been my only gripe about my VW GLI… And the fact that Volkswagen knows about it, and chooses to only throw new steering wheels at it that eventually fail as well.

This module was INCREDIBLY easy to change and I haven’t heard a peep from the steering wheel in over a week. This module WILL FIX that annoying issue.
