How Our Activation Process Works

Our goal is to make the remote programming process as simple as possible for our users. We employ a combination of hardware and software that allow us to connect to your vehicle over the internet as if we were right beside you, sitting in the passenger seat. When you purchase a feature activation service from us, here is what you can expect.

Hardware Requirements:

1.  Computer or Android phone (Laptop is preferred, but desktop may be used if you can place it near your car for the process)

    • Windows: 7, 8, 10, or 11
    • macOS: 10.15 or newer. Must have Apple silicon processor. Intel-based Macs do not work.
    • Linux: Ubuntu 20.04 or newer
    • Android: 5.0 or newer. Device must allow USB device sharing and have USB-C.

2.  Remote programming cable - The type of cable will vary depending on the service being done. This is specified in the “Required Equipment” section of each product page.

3.  A stable internet connection

Steps:

1.  Purchase

Purchase the service(s) you are interested in. If you are a new customer, ensure you purchase (or rent) the correct remote programming cable for your application. The type of cable required will be detailed on the product page, and in most cases you will be given the option to add the correct one to your purchase.

2.  Prepare

Ensure your laptop, desktop, or Android phone meets the requirements above, and have your remote programming cable handy.

3.  Schedule

Time is valuable, so we ensure that we handle activation scheduling in an organized manner. Visit the SCHEDULING section in the site navigation bar to reserve a timeslot for your activation. Upon booking your appointment, an email will be sent to you. This email includes all the info you will need to get setup for your appointment.

4.  Activate

We will call you at the beginning of your appointment block to discuss the process and walk you through any steps you may need to do to assist us in your activation. We perform all uploads and coding modifications remotely, however, we will remain on the line with you during the process to chat and answer any questions you may have along the way.

5.  Enjoy!
