This will program the MK8 Golf GTI/R to remember the Drive Mode on every ignition cycle.
It will keep all custom settings remembered, as well as, keep exhaust valves open when starting in Race Mode on the R.
"Add Full Mode Cycling with 'R' Button": The stock behavior of the steering wheel 'R' button does not allow you to cycle into Drift or Special (Nürburgring) mode. By purchasing the "Add Full Mode Cycling with 'R' Button" option, you will be able to use the 'R' button on the steering wheel to cycle through all 6 Golf R modes. (Comfort -> Sport -> Race -> Drift -> Special -> Custom -> Comfort -> etc...)
Note: For Golf R's, if the car is turned off while in drift mode or "special" mode (Nurburgring mode), the next time the car is started it will default to race mode. This is due to the sub-mode nature of the drift and ring modes. Additionally, for DSG equipped vehicles, if the transmission was left in S mode, occasionally the transmission will default back to D mode rather than S mode on next start.

My main concern was that I don’t speak very good English, but the guy was very understandable and if you have good reading skills in English, but the guy was very understandable and if you have good English reading skills, don't be afraid, it was very easy and so fast, it only takes 15 minutes for 2 codings with a basic laptop, you don't need a super PC. And if VW erases the coding, it was a lifetime warranty and you don't need to make a backup as it was specified on the site, ACM has the backup for you. The guy is a gentleman and I am very happy to do business with people like you, 10/10, thank you!
Coming from the Mk7 Golf R to the Mk8 Golf R, it never made sense that the drive mode you had previously been in would be reset back to Sport mode at every startup. This solves that problem permanently. I would highly recommend this service to anyone with a Golf R / GTI, etc.
