Do I need a new gasket when I install this?
Yes. Use a fresh header gasket at the cylinder head flange — reusing the old one risks exhaust leaks. The factory gasket compresses over time and won't seal properly against the new header.
Can I bolt this directly to my stock downpipe?
Depends on your downpipe. Most OEM downpipes mate at the standard flange, but test-fit before final tightening. If there's any gap, you may need a reducer or custom adapter — we recommend checking fitment before ordering a full exhaust system.
Does this need to be painted or coated after install?
No. Stainless steel doesn't rust in exhaust heat, so bare stainless is safe long-term. If you prefer a finished look, high-temp ceramic coating can be applied, but it's optional for corrosion protection.
