Yes. Your AC system must be evacuated and held at vacuum for at least 15 minutes before you connect this condenser. Moisture and air in the lines will damage the compressor. Use a certified refrigerant recovery machine or have a shop handle it.
Does this come with new O-rings and seals?
O-rings are not included with the condenser assembly. Pick up new seals at the same time—they're cheap insurance against leaks. Most shops swap them as standard practice during installation.
What if the condenser leaks after I install it?
Inspect your work first: confirm all connections are tight and O-rings seated properly. If the unit itself is defective, reach out to ModSupply support with photos of the leak and your receipt for next steps.
